Frequently asked
What kind of game is Nehborly?
A free city builder and business tycoon game: build a city, run businesses, own property, trade, borrow and pay tax. It is a strategy and economic management game you play in the browser or install as an app.
Is Nehborly free?
Yes. Nehborly is free to play. Optional Store items can be bought with ZNHB or NHB, but every core feature works without them.
Do I need crypto to play?
No. You can play right away as a guest. Signing in with NHBCoin saves your town so you can continue on any device.
How do I save my progress?
Sign up or log in with NHBCoin (new accounts are free). Your first sign-in moves the town from your device into your account. After that, sign in on any device to continue.
What are ZNHB and NHB?
They are the NHBCoin ecosystem's tokens. In Nehborly they pay for optional Store items. Game coins are separate, have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.
How long is a financial day?
Two minutes of active play. Bills, loan payments and tax deadlines pause while you are away.
Why are my homes emptying?
Homes lose tenants when residents can't buy food (a grocery needs bread and fruit), when there are few amenities nearby, or when the building is over 30 years old and needs renovation.
How does the federal tax work?
A monthly bill lands every 30 financial days, based on the month's income and everything you own. You have five days to pay. Unpaid tax freezes your assets until you pay the bank.
What happens when my town is frozen?
You can't build, upgrade or borrow. The bank takes coins above 80 each day and auctions property after five days. Pay the tax loan to unfreeze at once.
Can borrowing lower my tax?
Yes. Loan interest is a deductible cost and property is taxed on what you own minus what you owe the bank. Borrow for buildings that earn, and keep up with repayments.
What is Crown Island?
Nehborly's premium island: eight estates for high-rise homes and luxury hotels plus four service parcels. The island counts as one neighborhood, so its own hospital, school, police and market serve every island home and can fill them to 100%.
What is Petroleum Coast?
The end-game region: a 100,000-coin charter opens 12 oil rig sites and a community of its own. Pumpjacks fill their tanks daily, and you sell crude at the day's market price.
Can I lose my town?
Property can be foreclosed or auctioned if you default, but your founding businesses always remain, and the free recovery path lets you rebuild.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Nehborly runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, and can be added to your home screen.
Your city is waiting
Build it, run it, keep it solvent.
